While our curriculum integrates proven concepts of Family Systems Theory and Trauma-Informed Care to maintain an emotionally safe and predictable environment, we operate entirely non-clinically. Our programs are led strictly by credentialed outdoor experts, backed by open-book financial stewardship and frictionless pathways for community backing.

Meet the Team

Our team combines decade-long military leadership, nonprofit executive experience, and elite backcountry certifications to ensure absolute safety and operational excellence.

Executive Director/Co-Founder

Andrew Hartman

Army veteran with years of leadership experience as a Sergeant and 13F Fire Support Specialist in high-pressure environments. He holds a BA in Outdoor Instruction and Admin from MSU Denver. As a NOLS Wilderness First Responder, PCIA Climbing Instructor, and swiftwater and avalanche professional, he has over a decade of guiding experience founding both nonprofit and for-profit ventures. He specializes in helping veteran families reconnect through backcountry leadership, survival skills, climbing, and paddlesports. He leverages this operational expertise to spearhead the outdoor integration and program dynamics for Baseline: Veteran Family Dynamics.

Assistant Director/Co-Founder

Jason Allred

Air Force veteran with seven years of global communications and Combat Camera experience for the Department of Defense. Holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s in Communications. As a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer and NCI certified nutrition coach, Jason specializes in helping veterans and military parents optimize physical fitness, transition daily nutrition habits, and build mental resilience. He leverages his background in behavioral change and strategic communication to spearhead the physical readiness frameworks and operational coaching for Baseline: Veteran Family Dynamics.

Every dollar invested in Baseline: Veteran Family Dynamics is directly tied to backcountry permits, safety gear, family resources, and localized community impact.

Sponsor a Household

Your contribution directly funds a family's enrollment in our 3-month cohort, removing the financial barrier to entry and giving them the tools to build a resilient household. Every dollar goes straight into the field—covering private land-use permits, premium technical climbing gear, backcountry survival equipment, and their physical household tools.

Individual Impact

A direct contribution provides the exact resources needed to pull one local veteran family out of isolation and place them onto a structured, weekly path toward alignment and community connection.

Corporate Expeditions

Partner with Baseline as an organizational sponsor. Corporate backing funds critical group assets including multi-passenger field transport, rugged backcountry communication and safety arrays, or the large-scale logistical backing required to execute our regional alumni milestone trips.

Basecamp Events

We host regular, single-day public events throughout the year. These serve as an accessible, zero-pressure introduction to our terrain and philosophy, allowing families to build immediate outdoor confidence and meet our team before committing to a full 3-month program.

Wilderness Skills Camps

Focused, single-day family workshops hosted on our private acreage. Parents and children work side-by-side to master the mechanics of primitive fire-starting, emergency shelter construction, and environmental safety protocols—proving their ability to operate as a team under changing conditions.

Hike & Navigation Days

Community-wide trail operations designed to take the guesswork out of the backcountry. We pair practical, hands-on instruction in topographic map reading and lensatic compass navigation with a physical trail push, giving families a shared vocabulary and a tangible sense of shared achievement.
